A mental health professional. A functional medicine advocate. A baker who bakes out of necessity — and love.

Kris Hanvey spent years helping others find paths toward wellness. As a mental health professional deeply grounded in functional medicine, she understood better than most how profoundly what we eat shapes how we feel. That’s how Gluten Free Bread & Book came to be, not as a business plan, but as a natural response to a real need, built from the ground up in a cottage kitchen in the South Carolina Low Country.
